About Our Services
Consistent with University Healthcare’s Mission, Vision and Values, the Behavioral Health Unit at Berkeley Medical Center values the participation of our patients, their families and significant others in planning their care. This active participation supports patients to make optimum progress in treatment and sustain that progress after they are discharged. In order to promote optimum therapy and treatment outcomes for patients, the treatment team works with the patient’s support system to determine how they may help the patient reach their individual goals. We ask our families to support and encourage our patients to participate actively in the therapies and daily programs while they are in the hospital.
