This four-week program educates those with diabetes about diet and meal planning, medications, glucose monitoring, exercise, hygiene (including foot and skin care), and more. Classes are held in Jefferson Medical Center’s 1st Floor Conference Room. Pre-registration is required by calling 304-728-1693.

Healthy Start Mall Walker Program β€” FREE

Sponsored by Berkeley Medical Center and the Martinsburg Mall, participants can sign up at the Mall’s Customer Service Desk and record your miles to receive recognition for the healthy strides they make.

Lifeskills β€” A Diabetic Patient Education Program

A four-week comprehensive program taught by a Certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietitian, this program is targeted to help individuals manage diabetes. Classes are held in the McCormack Center Suite 3800. A physician referral is required. A program fee is applicable and is covered by some insurance companies. For more details, call 304-596-6839.
